Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cooker Chef to join our team in a fish and chips shop. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing traditional fish and chips, operating fryers, and maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards. This role requires efficiency, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals to our customers

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook fish and chips to a consistently high standard. Operate and maintain deep fryers and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are followed in compliance with health regulations. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering fresh ingredients. Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times. Work as part of a team to ensure fast and efficient service during busy hours. Assist in training new staff on cooking techniques and kitchen procedures. Follow portion control and waste management practices to reduce food costs.

Requirements

Experience in a fish and chips shop or similar fast-paced kitchen role. Knowledge of frying techniques, meal preparation, and food safety standards. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen environment. Strong attention to detail to ensure quality and consistency. Reliable, punctual, and a team player with a strong work ethic. Understanding of portion control and stock management.
