Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in meal preparation and food safety, with a flair for creating delicious dishes that delight our guests. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen, maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation, while fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Duties

Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and standards. Oversee food preparation processes to ensure compliance with food safety regulations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in culinary techniques and best practices. Help create an enjoyable dining experience for guests through exceptional food presentation and flavour.

Experience

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and kitchen equipment. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is essential. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new recipes is highly desirable. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
