Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate must have previous experience working in a professional kitchen, is creative, committed and cares for the meals they send out.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, enjoy busy service times and will thrive under pressure with a meticulous attention to detail.

The person we're looking for will assist in managing all financial aspects of the kitchen such as labour spends and food spends ensuring the kitchen is meeting and exceeding the company food budgets. This role requires a keen understanding of food safety practices as you will be responsible for ensuring the kitchen is compliant with all health & safety standards and you must be able to demonstrate the ability to work efficiently in a kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to menu specifications Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and work areas Collaborate to create new menu items and improve existing recipes Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed Serve meals to guests, ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on meal preparation techniques Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
