Overview

We are seeking a Cook/Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and cooking, but also willing to train someone with a passion for becoming a chef with little experience, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes. must have good hygiene certificates, be reliable and due to remote location able to drive is a bonus although there is a train station close by.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and presentation standards Ensure all food is prepared safely, adhering to food safety regulations and hygiene standards Assist in menu planning and development, offering creative ideas for new dishes Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including cleaning utensils, equipment, and workstations Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure ingredients are fresh and available Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction Follow health and safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment Knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards Experience working in restaurants or similar hospitality settings is highly desirable but can be gained Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team Passion for food, creativity, and a desire to learn new culinary skills
Typical working hours are 9-5 but can vary depending on scheduled functions, pay is dependant on experience and ability and will be reviewed after a cooling period

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 45 per week
