Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to the menu specifications
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service
Assist in menu planning and development of new recipes
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques and food safety practices
Provide excellent service by ensuring meals are presented attractively
Experience
Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment
Strong culinary skills with a focus on meal preparation and presentation
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Previous kitchen experience is essential; restaurant experience is highly desirable
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
