Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety. You will be responsible for creating delicious meals that meet our high standards while ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to the restaurant's menu and standards. Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. Assist in menu planning, including the selection of seasonal ingredients and innovative dishes. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support in food preparation techniques. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary to ensure availability. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction. Maintain equipment cleanliness and functionality, reporting any maintenance issues promptly. Participate in training new kitchen staff on culinary techniques and safety procedures.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Excellent cooking skills with the ability to prepare a variety of cuisines. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools, including knives, ovens, grills, and fryers. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation. A passion for culinary arts and creativity in developing new recipes is highly desirable.
