The Manchester Golf Club is an England Golf Championship Venue set in over 240 acres of moorland and heathland. Manchester Golf Club has welcomed golfers of all categories for over 100 years. We provide excellent bar and catering services for our members and visitors.

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Cook to join our Catering Team.

The role will involve working 2-3 shifts Monday - Sunday, to help to provide cover for Events, Golf Functions, Staff Holidays etc.

The successful applicant will assist the Kitchen Manager to ensure exceptional standards and service are delivered to both Club Members and visitors alike.

16-20 per week

Your responsibilities will include:

To prepare & cook a variety of food to menu requirement

To lead, manage and provide clear instruction to others when required

Be able to ensure that business standards are set and maintained in terms of quality of service

Delivering excellent standards of customer care and ensuring that member or visitor issues and complaints are dealt with professionally and courteously

Be responsible for the cleanliness of all kitchen areas and ensure that all requirements (both statutory and business) are met in relation to Health & Safety

Ensure that all administrative requirements are completed in line with Company policy, including fridge temps, labelling of food, Health & Safety documentation

Any other jobs requested by management

You should:

Hold a City & Guilds 7061/2 or relevant NVQ in Food Preparation and Catering is essential, as is a valid Food Hygiene Level 2 Certificate as minimum. Have the ability to work within a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining quality Good understanding of allergens Good understanding of HACCP Be able to display our staff behaviours: -
