Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our day centre . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts and be committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing meal preparation, ensuring food safety standards, and creating delicious dishes that delight our members.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu specifications. Assist in the development of new menu items, ensuring creativity and seasonal relevance. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen. Oversee kitchen operations during service, ensuring timely meal preparation and presentation. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and effective communication. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as necessary. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.

Experience

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a care. Home setting. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation. Familiarity with various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
