We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join the KHU team providing traditional pub grub menu. The ideal candidate will possess experience in working a commercial kitchen and a solid understanding of food safety regulations and meal preparation. You will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, menu development, and ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
Our pub restaurant is in a beautiful country location so the ability to drive and use of vehicle would be an advantage
Responsibilities
Working alongside our kitchen team and also able to take the lead.
To give your input to add to our already popular menu that reflect customer preferences.
Ensure compliance with food safety standards and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment.
Oversee meal preparation processes, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed while minimising waste.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and operational procedures.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Monitor kitchen performance metrics and implement improvements where necessary.

Strong culinary skills with experience in restaurant or catering environments.
In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
