Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu specifications. Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, promoting best practices in food preparation and safety.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities. A passion for cooking and creating innovative dishes that delight customers. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21-12.40 per hour
