Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety. As a Cook, you will be responsible for creating delicious meals that meet our high standards of quality and presentation, while also ensuring that the kitchen operates efficiently.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus. Oversee meal preparation and ensure that all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques and food safety practices. Contribute to menu planning based on seasonal ingredients. Ensure all dishes are presented beautifully before serving to residents.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a similar environment, with a strong focus on food preparation and cooking. Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in the kitchen. Culinary qualifications or relevant training is preferred but not essential if experience is demonstrated. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for residents.
