Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and standards. Assist in the planning and preparation of meals, ensuring that all dishes are presented beautifully. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods. Monitor food inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices. Participate in regular kitchen meetings to discuss menu changes, special events, and improvements.

Qualifications

Proven experience in meal preparation and food preparation within a restaurant or culinary setting. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and practices. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual responsibilities. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to multitask under pressure. A passion for cooking and creativity in meal presentation. Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are advantageous but not essential.
