We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef/cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant cooking and kitchen operations, with a focus on food safety and culinary excellence. As a Chef/cook you will be responsible for the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals, ensuring that every dish meets our standards of taste and presentation.
Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation is conducted in a safe and hygienic manner.
Maintain inventory levels of food supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary to ensure kitchen efficiency.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during meal periods.
Continuously evaluate the quality of dishes served, making adjustments as needed to enhance flavour and presentation.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a restaurant or similar kitchen environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation.
A passion for cooking with creativity in developing new recipes and menu items.
Strong communication skills to effectively lead kitchen staff and collaborate with other team members.
Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications would be advantageous but are not essential.(Level 2 in food and hygiene)
