Responsibilities

Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and standards Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed Assist in menu planning and development of new dishes Train and mentor junior kitchen staff as required Serve meals in an appealing manner, ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards

Qualifications

Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations Ability to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen setting Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Strong communication skills, both verbal and written A passion for cooking and creativity in meal presentation
