Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan and execute meal preparation efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment. Monitor inventory levels of kitchen supplies and report any shortages or needs for replenishment. Assist in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices. Stay updated on culinary trends and incorporate new ideas into menu offerings.

Requirements

Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment. Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential. Previous kitchen experience is preferred, with the ability to work under pressure during busy service times. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated when required. A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
