Summary

We are seeking a talented Chef to join our team at Nynehead Care, located near Wellington. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our residents enjoy high-quality meals that contribute to their well-being and satisfaction. Your culinary expertise will enhance our reputation for outstanding in-house catering and event services.

3 days a week - hours of work: 9.00am to 6.30pm

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents, ensuring dietary needs are met.

Plan menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and resident preferences. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal service. Cater for special events and charity functions held on the premises. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Stay updated on culinary trends to enhance menu offerings.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a catering environment.

Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on food preparation and cooking techniques.

Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Experience in menu planning is preferred but not mandatory. Passion for creating enjoyable dining experiences for residents.
