Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Cook or Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management, with the ability to lead and inspire a team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating exceptional dishes that delight our guests while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained.

We want to reopen our kitchen, Friday-Sunday, serving bottomless brunch, Sunday lunches and our Uber eats menu.

Duties

Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food preparation. Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure effective teamwork and collaboration. Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, equipment usage, and safety protocols. Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Monitor food presentation and portion control to maintain consistency across all dishes.

Skills

Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team. Excellent culinary skills with a deep understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and front-of-house staff. A passion for cooking and creativity in menu development.
