We are seeking a talented and passionate Cook/Chef to join our team. As a Cook/Chef, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of culinary excellence while ensuring food safety and hygiene practices are strictly adhered to.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to the menu and customer preferences. Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest quality standards. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative cooking techniques. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Train and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance on food preparation and cooking techniques. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.

Skills

Proven experience in a restaurant or similar culinary environment. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills. Familiarity with meal preparation processes, including portion control and presentation. Understanding of food safety standards and best practices in the kitchen. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team. A passion for cooking and helping others enjoy great food experiences.
