We are seeking a talented and passionate Cook, Chef, Foodie, Or Food Loving person to join our new team at Caffe Massarella York. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and Love Food, with a keen understanding of food safety standards. You will play a vital role in creating exceptional dining experiences by preparing high-quality meals and managing kitchen operations efficiently.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of brunch style dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications. Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient meal preparation. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed to maintain kitchen operations. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during meal times. Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques to continually enhance the dining experience.

Requirements

Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary skills, and food safety practices. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members. A passion for cooking and creating innovative dishes that delight customers. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
