Prepare, cook and serve meals, snacks, and desserts in accordance with the set menus. To include: breakfast, morning snacks, lunch, afternoon snacks and supper, preparation and service.
Prepare cakes and other 'special' items when required.
Work with the team to plan menus, and ensure they meet the dietary needs of all our residents.
Complete kitchen paperwork, in line with food hygiene standards
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of, and comply with food hygiene regulations.
Be responsible for the organisation and cleanliness of the kitchen, food store, fridges and freezers.
Manage stock levels, check the quality and quantity of received goods, and oversee stock rotation.
Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate clothing (free uniform supplied).
Supervise other staff assisting in the kitchen.
Report to maintenance/manager of any items in need of repair.
Participate in ongoing training and development, to enhance kitchen services.
