We're looking for a talented, reliable chef to join our small, passionate team who care deeply about sustainability, seasonality, and letting bold, natural flavours shine.

At The Old Post Office Cafe, we champion all things local. We source as much of our produce as possible from within a five-mile radius - supporting local businesses, reducing our footprint, and creating fresh, vibrant dishes that let the ingredients speak for themselves.

About the Role:

Prepare, cook, and plate dishes to a consistently high standard, following our set menus and recipes. Run the kitchen day-to-day, keeping service smooth, clean, and efficient with great attention to detail. Work with seasonal, locally sourced produce (most within five miles). Maintain excellent food hygiene standards and support a positive, team-driven environment. Engage warmly with customers when needed, sharing our passion for local food and practices. Communicate clearly and work closely with the owner and front-of-house team to deliver a seamless customer experience. Always follow clear instructions from the owner and stay true to our company values, referring any concerns directly to them.
