We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook/Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. This role involves preparing and serving nutritious meals, assisting with kitchen operations, and ensuring food safety standards are maintained. Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals according to menu specifications and dietary guidelines Assist with menu planning and ingredient sourcing to ensure variety and nutritional value Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards Handle food safely, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures Assist with food presentation and plating for both regular service and special events Support catering services by preparing dishes for large groups or events Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal service and customer satisfaction Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management

Qualifications

Previous experience in dietary departments, culinary roles, or food service environments preferred Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation Experience with food safety protocols and sanitation standards Fine dining or restaurant experience is a plus Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and attention to detail Food industry or catering experience is desirable but not required A passion for culinary arts and providing exceptional food service
