We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Kitchen Assistant to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a dynamic culinary environment. The successful candidate will support the kitchen operations by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are upheld. Prior kitchen or restaurant experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.

Duties

Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with recipes and safety standards Support chefs and kitchen staff in cooking activities, including basic cooking tasks Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, utensils, and kitchen equipment to ensure hygiene standards are met Organise ingredients and supplies for efficient workflow Help with serving meals to customers or guests as required Follow food safety protocols diligently to prevent contamination and ensure quality standards are maintained Support the overall organisation of the kitchen area, including waste disposal and stock replenishment

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, or catering environment is desirable but not mandatory Knowledge of food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills Understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene practices Ability to work efficiently under supervision in a fast-paced environment Good organisational skills and attention to detail Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks within the kitchen setting
