Duties

Assist in the preparation of meals by chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and following recipes as directed. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Support chefs and cooks in cooking tasks as needed, ensuring timely service. Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Help with the serving of meals during busy periods, ensuring a high standard of presentation. Participate in stock management by assisting with inventory checks and reporting any shortages to the kitchen supervisor.

Skills

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is highly desirable. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations. Strong organisational skills with an ability to multitask effectively in a busy setting. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn from experienced chefs. Pay: 12.25 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 35 per week
