Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.
Assist in the planning and preparation of food items for daily service.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are maintained at all times.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight customers.
Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are advantageous but not essential.
