Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our award winning business as a cook. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and delivering high-quality meals to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations, with a commitment to maintaining food safety standards.

Duties



Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor food quality and presentation before serving to guests. Participate in inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed. Provide support in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.

Experience



Previous experience in a kitchen environment is essential, with a focus on food preparation and cooking. Culinary experience or relevant qualifications in hospitality or culinary arts are highly desirable. Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices within a restaurant setting. Experience serving customers or working in a fast-paced restaurant environment is an advantage. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively within a diverse team. this is a 4 month contract initially to help support the kitchen through out busy winter months however could become permanent for the right person.

Job Types: Temporary, Temp to perm
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: 13.00-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
