We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Culinary Specialist. The Culinary Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our residents.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards. Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. Collaborate with staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods. Monitor inventory levels of kitchen supplies and assist in ordering as necessary. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen within a care home is REQUIRED Strong culinary skills, with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in meal preparation. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also taking initiative when required. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of food handling. A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight customers.
