Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our expanding team as a Cook/kitchen assistant. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our customers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in food preparation and cooking, along with a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications. Assist in meal preparation, ensuring timely service during busy periods. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations. Monitor food quality and presentation. Participate in inventory management, including receiving and storing supplies.
Experience
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is essential. Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices is essential. Experience in a cook to order setting is beneficial, particularly in fast-paced environments. Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively under pressure.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From 12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 4 - 22 per week
