We have 10 apprenticeship vacancies available in the Co-op Academy Special Schools within BD3, BD5 and BD7 to start in September 2025. During your apprenticeship you will complete a Level 3 Teaching Assistant (SEND pathway) Apprenticeship, qualifying you to work in schools with children aged 2-19 years.

We currently have 38 academies as part of the Co-op family, across 3 regional hubs.

We have two Special Schools in our Trust a primary and a secondary. Both schools cater for young people with severe learning disabilities, profound and multiple learning difficulties and those with autism. Your apprenticeship will be based in one of the schools below:

Co-op Academy Delius



Co-op Academy Delius is a Primary Special School in Bradford based across two sites in BD3 and BD7. Our SEND pupils are aged between 2 and 11 years old. We strive to provide a personalised, ambitious and challenging curriculum with the highest of expectations where pupils are given a voice and are encouraged to be independent and actively participate in their education. Our academy community is passionate and creates innovative learning opportunities in exceptional learning environments whilst promoting holistic as well as academic development. The academy promotes an ambitious, positive, safe, stimulating and nurturing environment in which all staff and pupils feel valued and their successes and achievements are recognised and appreciated.

Co-op Academy Southfield



Co-op Academy Southfield is a Secondary Special school, based in Bradford. We cater for students who have a wide range of SEND. The pupils at Co-op Academy Southfield are a credit to themselves and their families. It is such a privilege to work with such resilient and hardworking individuals. The talented staff team are committed to ensuring that we create an environment which creates irresistible opportunities for learning and engagement that supports the development of our students' holistic needs.

Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract, Apprenticeship

Contract length:

18 months

Hours of work:

including apprenticeship CPD hours will be 35 hours per week (term time only plus 1 week). Monday to Friday. Start/Finish times will be directed by the Academy. Within this time there will also be weekly academy based CPD. There will be an unpaid lunch break each day

Salary:

SCP4 19,855 (actual salary)
