We\'re seeking a Senior Product Manager with a proven track record of driving great customer experiences, innovation, collaboration, and discovery in consumer-focused technology.

This is a huge opportunity to drive change in the way millions of people search, book, and think about their travel in the UK and across western Europe. You will be responsible for disrupting how travellers perceive train travel in these markets be it on the day of travel or when planning their trip in advance. This role will focus on helping more travellers choose rail and is part of key a strategic initiative to drive ambitious growth outcomes with a very visible customer impact. You will have full ownership of this area of the product and the ability to shape the roadmap and vision as you see fit.

You will be responsible for integrating research, data science insights, marketing insights, brand, and growth team roadmaps to make data driven decisions and create an experience for all travellers.

Responsibilities:

Stay on top of the competitive landscape and UK and EU industry trends, articulating opportunities and threats, owning the strategy and medium/long-term roadmap.

Understand user and business needs to define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the team and business unit.

Work cross-functionally to set and drive OKRs with ambitious goals and measurable results aligned to company objectives.

Work closely with a cross-functional team including Tech, PR, Commercial, Marketing, Finance, to drive customer-focused innovation and achieve results.

Collaborate with PMs in other business units to influence cohesive roadmaps and drive a larger impact for users and your mission.

Work with data science, researchers, and analysts to develop actionable qualitative and quantitative insights.

Form well-reasoned hypotheses and use discovery techniques to rapidly enhance your understanding of the problem space and shape the user experience.

Get all members of your cross-functional team passionate about the product vision and strategy as well as communicate effectively with company leadership.

Use experiments to measure the impact of launched initiatives and feed insights back into the product development process.

Be a compelling storyteller inspiring people through written and verbal comms and confidently present at internal forums.

Work on multiple large initiatives in parallel, both in and outside the specific product area, collaborating with colleagues and cross-functional teams through leadership, not escalation.

Live the Trainline values and behaviours, demonstrating unquestionable leadership and accountability for your Product remit, building a healthy Product and Engineering organisation culture.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience, with at least 5+ in a product management role in a tech business. Ideally across mobile, web, and with knowledge of backend systems.

Worked in a fast-paced environment where you have shaped high-volume B2C and/or B2B digital experiences.

Experience working across a complex and evolving product set, using the latest techniques for product discovery and hypothesis-driven product development.

A passion for working closely with world-class designers, engineers, and marketeers to build amazing products in a fast-paced environment.

Deep commercial acumen and evidence of contributions to wider business decisions outside of the Product domain.

Keen interest or motivation to deliver on the Trainline purpose of encouraging people to make more environmentally sustainable travel choices.

Demonstrate established processes and ways of working with business and engineering partners to achieve delivery outcomes.

Experience communicating effectively with senior stakeholders as a compelling storyteller.
