Job Description

We are looking for a Network Support Engineer who will be joining the Harrods team. You will be providing technical support for Harrod's Networks.


This role will be 5 days a week, Monday to Friday at our Knightsbridge Office.

About the Role

As a Network Support Engineer you will be ensuring maximum service availability and performance through proactive monitoring, reporting and planning. This role will involve contributing to the overall support and design of the Harrods Infrastructure


This role will work within the Network Support team providing proven technical support knowledge. Ensuring the business expectations are managed through clear and regular communication and demonstrate commit to agreed SLA's in order to strive to be a source of accountability.

You will also:

Review advances in Networking and Security practises in line with PCI DSS. Implement, promote and enforce standards, safeguards, and procedures concerning the technical architecture of the Cisco Core Networking layer across multiple sites, WAN environment. Work closely collaboratively with multiple support teams on complex issues. Implement security solutions and practices to deal with risks and threats on environments within the remit of the role.

About You

As the Network Support Engineer, you will be highly motivated with a strong work ethic and solid commitment to Harrods values. You will have clear communication skills with a great attention to detail.

You will also:

Have a strong understanding of LAN & WAN - CCNA Level in Cisco technologies and demonstrable knowledge of Nexus (N2K, N3K, N5K, N7K, N9K) Technology with strong Routing (BGP, OSPF), IPSEC, GRE, IPSLA, PBR, VRF, Switching, VLan, STP, VPC, QoS, Overlay technologies, Multicast Understand Software Defined Architecture inc Cisco DNAC. Be experienced in Wireless Networking - Cisco WLC, Meraki, Prime, Access points across multiple sites. Have previous experience in Cabling standards/ exposure to physical networking (OM4 FIBRE/ CAT 6 COPPER.
