Multi-Trade Workers

Job Summary:
The Multi-Trade Worker will specialize in the installation and maintenance of bathrooms and kitchens within social housing properties. This role involves collaborating with residents and housing management to ensure that all fittings meet safety and quality standards while enhancing the functionality and aesthetics of living spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Bathroom Installation:
- Install and replace bathroom fixtures, including sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and showers
- Ensure proper plumbing and drainage connections are completed to high standards.
- Fit tiles, flooring, and wall coverings as part of bathroom renovations.
2. Kitchen Installation:
- Install kitchen cabinets, countertops, sinks, and appliances.
- Conduct plumbing and electrical work related to kitchen fittings.
- Ensure all installations are compliant with safety regulations and building codes.
3. Renovation Projects:
- Assess existing bathroom and kitchen layouts and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with design teams to implement upgrades and renovations.
- Manage the entire installation process, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
4. Maintenance and Repairs:
- Carry out routine maintenance checks and repairs on existing bathroom and kitchen installations.
- Respond to resident requests for repairs and improvements promptly.
5. Documentation and Communication:
- Maintain records of work performed, including materials used and time taken.
- Communicate effectively with residents to ensure their needs are met during installations.
6. Health and Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while working on all installations and repairs.
- Ensure that work areas are kept clean and safe for residents and colleagues.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in bathroom and kitchen fitting, preferably in social housing or similar settings.
- Strong understanding of building regulations and safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with residents and team members.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials and working in confined spaces.
- Willingness to work in various conditions, including potentially disruptive environments during renovations.
Working Hours:
- weekdays 8.30- 4-30.
This is a self employed vacancy. this allows you to work as much or as little as you wish . You are able to commit dates in weekly sections to be able to complete projects. This position would be ideal for someone who is self employed looking to boost income or fill in any gaps. alternatively we also welcome full time self employment
