Role Profile Our customers across the Maritime Industry, ranging from Governments to Fortune 500 companies, and we are looking for a Corporate Account Manager\xe2\x80\x93 Shipping to join the team and play a key role in our success in 2024 and beyond.
The Corporate Account Manager will execute against sales goals with respect to forecasting and revenue attainment. This generally includes managing a renewable account base, qualifying, and disqualifying new business opportunities, learning customer decision/making process, creating, and maintaining accurate forecasts, negotiating contracts, closing business in a timely manner, and fully comprehending our Maritime Intelligence & Law unique value proposition.
This role is balanced working model between home and in our modern and centrally located UK - London office close to St Paul\xe2\x80\x99s, Blackfriars, and Farringdon with an excellent and a wide variety of services and transport links situated nearby.
Key Responsibilities

  • Owning and developing a defined set of accounts within the EMEA region, fostering exceptional relationships to maintain current figures and hit annual uplift targets
  • Proactively hunting for new business opportunities, targeting areas of the accounts that do not currently engage with our products and services
  • Managing and developing understanding of assigned client base to discuss and position consulting opportunities to generate bespoke sales
  • Defining and delivering a strategic sales plan across your accounts, managing a robust pipeline and prepare accurate sales forecasts, new growth ideas and contingency plans
  • Partnering with internal consulting and support teams throughout the client lifecycle, from scoping custom projects to managing client deliverables
  • Becoming an expert in the Intelligence product suite (subscriptions, one-time products, and consulting), our competitors and our clients, to provide excellent service & maximize sales

What we are looking for: Essential
  • At least 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in B2B sales working in a consultative sales environment
  • Proven experience in dealing with multi-national companies
  • The ability to identify new revenue opportunities and maximise product potential
  • An excellent written and verbal communicator, able to build successful relationships both internally and externally
Desirable
  • Experience using Salesforce
  • Experience in searching and responding to tenders
  • Previous experience within either Trade Finance, Shipping, Commodity, Insurance or Governmental
  • Proven experience selling business intelligence, insights, market data or editorial products and/or services
  • Proficiency in a European language
