This is a fantastic opportunity for a Corporate Finance Analyst to join the energy and natural resources sector in Edinburgh. The role requires a skilled professional to support financial analysis and reporting within the organisation on a temporary basis.

• Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes and strategic initiatives.
• Prepare detailed financial reports and forecasts for internal stakeholders.
• Assist in budgeting and cost analysis activities.
• Provide support for corporate finance projects, including mergers or acquisitions.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse financial data.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance financial efficiency.
• Support senior management with ad hoc financial tasks and presentations.

A successful Corporate Finance Analyst should have:

• A strong academic background in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Relevant experience within the accounting and finance department.
• Proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Familiarity with the energy and natural resources industry is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills to present findings clearly to stakeholders.
• A working knowledge of SAP
