We are seeking a Pro-active Sales Manager to cover maternity leave until 01.09.26 with view to permeant position assist us in the operational preparation and execution of our events and meetings. You will be an integral part of the team and will work closely with the wider Renaissance team on a daily basis.
```Duties```  
 Form a leading part in the annual hotel and sales business strategy.
 Retain a comprehensive database of sales activity information with the use of a computerised system. Record all activity and ensure revenue generating activity is repeated and unsuccessful strategies are reviewed and re-established.
 Attend weekly and monthly commercial strategy meetings, take the lead where appropriate. Join regular meetings with Managing Director to review personal activity and targets.
 Ensure regular and comprehensive market research is undertaken. Continuously develop new leads and routes for generating revenue.
 Act as a Company ambassador and explore any and all commercial opportunities. Activity could include client appointments, leading product show-rounds, hosting fam trips and group hospitality events, attend networking events, being involved in the local community as a venue representative, tele-sales calling, active social media presence, exhibitions etc.
 Execute the full proactive sales journey including identifying, securing, and maintaining revenue generating business. Take personal accountability for securing and contracting business.
 Liaise with the Marketing Manager and Festival and Events Manager on new sales strategies and incentives. Work together to maximise all Company promotions to the benefit of the business.
 Support where required in educating the associated departments, encouraging sales awareness and opportunities. Support to create a one-team culture in which any opportunities to maximise revenue are pursued.
 Conduct regular competitor analysis, identifying their business levels, rate strategy, promotions, marketing avenues and refurbishment plans etc. Communicate findings and react as appropriate.
 Raise the profile of The Renaissance amongst MICE and Hospitality Associations to support the commercial strategy.
```Skills```  
-Strong sales and commercial employment history.  
-Spent considerable time lucratively representing MICE and corporate offerings.  
-Assured and ideally experienced in spearheading proactive sales efforts
-Natural Company ambassador, able to confidently represent the business in any professional setting.  
-Fully competent to work with a variety of commercial systems.  
-Acute financial awareness, capability to contribute to the business' budgeting and strategy processes.  
-Ability to multitask and juggle differing priorities brand a range of stakeholders and brands.
