The Role



The Firm is looking for a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager / Manager, with UK corporation tax experience or applicants with general practice backgrounds who have a thorough understanding of UK taxes, in particular companies and business taxes. This role covers a wide spectrum of clients ranging from healthcare, manufacturing, property, tourism, leisure, and hospitality as well as small start-ups, OMBs, and large corporates.

This role offers excellent career progression and also presents a great opportunity for someone to develop their knowledge in relation to corporate taxation.

This role sits within the corporate taxation team in the tax department of our Firm based in Norwich. The successful candidate will be working closely with other team members and the Tax Partners.

Duties include but are not limited to:



Complex corporate compliance and advisory matters Conduct tax due diligence in collaboration with the corporate finance department Engage with and manage client relationships effectively Responsible for quoting fees, raising invoices, and managing personal WIP (work in progress) Collaborate with team members to support their workload and assist with ongoing practical training Ensure all work complies with relevant professional standards Communicate clearly with clients and colleagues to keep all parties informed and resolve queries Work closely with Partners and Managers on complex corporate compliance and advisory projects Contribute to the development of new client opportunities Support the promotion of corporate finance and tax services internally and externally Promote and contribute to the Vision and Values of M+A Partners Maintain an up-to-date profile and active presence on LinkedIn to enhance professional networking and promote firm-wide initiatives (training can be provided)

The Candidate



Minimum CTA qualified, and/or ACCA/ACA qualified Minimum of five years' practice experience dealing with corporate tax work or tax compliance Proven experience in overseeing and reviewing the work of other team members Working knowledge of Sage, QuickBooks Online or Xero accounting packages is ideal Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex matters clearly to clients and colleagues A proactive and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a wider team Experience liaising with HMRC and handling correspondence effectively Proactive mindset with the ability to identify planning opportunities for clients and develop long-term relationships
