Job Description

Are you looking to launch your career in corporate tax within a global organisation? We're looking for a motivated Corporate Tax Assistant (Trainee) to join our UK Corporate Tax Department. This is a training-focused position -- no prior tax experience is assumed, and you will receive full support and development from our experienced team. What You'll Do

As a Corporate Tax Assistant (Trainee), you will support the team across a wide range of UK direct and indirect tax reporting and compliance activities, including: Corporate Tax Reporting & Compliance -Assist with preparing corporation tax and deferred tax figures/disclosures for UK statutory accounts. Corporate Tax Administration - Assist with preparing estimates for Quarterly Instalment Payments (QIPs). US GAAP Reporting - Support quarterly and annual US GAAP tax reporting requirements. Additional Responsibilities + Assist with overseas tax returns as required.
+ Coordinate requests for Certificates of Residence.
+ Support preparation of the monthly UK VAT Group Return, including payment/repayment allocation.

What We're Looking For

Essential Qualifications

A university degree with an understanding of finance, financial accounting, or related concepts.

Skills & Attributes

Strong communication skills -- able to write clearly and concisely. Good project management and organisational abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Eagerness to take on new challenges and develop both technical and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexibly to meet deadlines.

Experience

No prior tax experience required -- full training will be provided.
