Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced EMEA Corporate Tax Manger to join our Group Tax Team, which is responsible for the global tax affairs of the group. This role will be the lead for Corporate Tax matters across EMEA, including tax compliance, reporting and risk management, supporting the Group Tax Senior Manager.
The role will suit a candidate with a solid UK Corporate Tax Background that is looking to develop through exposure to the corporate tax matters impacting a UK headquartered global business in the financial services sector, with a particular focus on EMEA and international issues.
Role Responsibilities:Preparation of UK tax returns to a high standard, within agreed timetable. Analysis of UK corporate tax technical matters, such as CFC review, CIR and loan relationships, and drafting technical memos. Ownership of the corporate tax affairs of a portfolio of EMEA entities including the relationship with external outsource providers. Support for the implementation of Pillar 2 (global minimum tax). Timely and accurate preparing of tax disclosures for the UK statutory accounts and subsidiaries in the EMEA region. Support of the Group's consolidated tax reporting and forecasting process, including journal bookings to ensure that all tax implications of the tax compliance processes are correctly reflected in the accounts of the business. Support the Senior Group Tax Manager with EMEA tax risk governance and management, including SAO. Support senior members of the tax team in responding to requests from the tax authorities and business, including change management and project support for EMEA. Work closely with other colleagues in the Finance and Operations teas to enable them to efficiently support the work of the Tax team. Participate in initiatives to improve the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the tax function, and proactive identification and implementation of process improvements.

Experience / Competences
Essential6+ years of UK Corporate Tax compliance and reporting experience. Strong UK Tax technical skill set and experience for large companies & consolidated groups. Experience with Alphatax or similar UK corporation tax return software would be helpful. Tax accounting skills, including knowledge of IFRS. ACA or ACCA qualified. CTA qualification also beneficial. Exposure to European tax accounting and compliance issues. Strong organisational and interpersonal skills and the ability to balance multiple assignments and successfully manage work plans and deadlines. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and flexibility to handle on-going change.

DesiredEuropean or other language skills. Regulatory or Financial services experience. Experience in uplifting the delivery of quality data and use of tax technology and tools that can enhance processes within the tax function.
