This senior role offers a key opportunity to lead significant client relationships and manage complex tax projects that will shape the future of the tax practice. You will collaborate closely with partners and senior leaders to develop and execute strategies that drive client success and business growth, while also guiding the wider practice team. The role is autonomous, with responsibility for project management, maximising fee income, identifying new business opportunities, controlling work in progress, and overseeing billing.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a diverse portfolio of corporate tax clients, delivering expert advisory services on mergers and acquisitions, tax due diligence, share option schemes, restructures, reorganisations, succession, and exit planning (including buybacks, capital reductions, and management buyouts).
Carry out technical compliance reviews of corporation tax computations prepared by the team.
Build and maintain trusted client relationships, identifying opportunities to extend the range of services offered.
Stay current with tax legislation changes and share relevant insights to ensure compliance and identify planning opportunities.
Contribute to the strategic direction of the corporate tax department, including business development and process improvement initiatives.
Represent the practice at client meetings, industry events, and networking activities.
Ideally have some knowledge or experience with personal tax, VAT, and Stamp Duty/Stamp Duty Land Tax.
Requirements
Proven success and experience managing corporate tax matters.
Strong technical expertise with the ability to provide strategic advice on complex tax issues.
Excellent communication and relationship management skills, inspiring confidence internally and externally.
Exceptional organisational and prioritisation capabilities.
Professional qualification such as CTA.
Proficiency in tax software and solid understanding of financial and accounting principles.
Salary
49,630.95 - 70,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
