Corporate Tax Senior or Manager

Westcotts is a Top 50 + 50 Accountancy Practice and Real Living Wage Employer with over 300 team members across the South West in Devon and Somerset.

Due to the significant growth and demand of our tax services, we are looking for a Corporate Tax Senior or Corporate Tax Manager or to join us on a permanent basis in one of our 16 offices covering Devon and Somerset, with both hybrid and flexible working available.

This is an exciting new role in our highly professional and successful Tax team and would likely suit a current Corporate Tax Assistant Manager or high-performing Corporate Tax Senior looking for their next career step, or an existing Corporate Tax Manager who is looking to gain new experiences.

The department acts for a very diverse range of clients including ranging from locally focused owner managed business through to international groups.

Main Duties

The main duties (but not limited to) are the following:

Deliver a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations within budget and timeframe Build relationships and directly interact with clients and the wider Westcotts team to provide tax planning and support Support our tax team to provide a wide range of tax advisory projects Provide innovative tax planning across a broad range of taxes Review of tax returns and preparation of complex tax returns Identify and mitigate tax risks

Attributes, Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Ideally the successful candidate will have the following attributes, skills, experience and qualifications.

Corporate Tax Manager, Assistant Corporate Tax Manager or high-performing Corporate Tax Senior experience ATT or / and CTA qualified, or qualified by experience Strong technical tax knowledge across a broad range of areas. Outgoing, socially confident and emotionally controlled A positive attitude, friendly and approachable Resilient, able to multi-task and work independently / flexibly Adaptable, organised and conscientious Takes the initiative, ability to prioritise and meet deadlines Discreet, professional and team orientated in approach Excellent knowledge of tax and all types of compliance returns Good report writer and able to communicate across a spectrum of taxes Good working knowledge of general IT Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Social Media programmes Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven accuracy and an eye for detail
