Working as part of the SHS Food team, the successful applicant will be responsible for product costings and process improvement whilst getting involved in ad hoc projects to help drive the business' growth strategy.


Key Responsibilities/Duties

Responsible for the delivery of timely and accurate costings throughout the SHS Food Division, covering own label retail, B2B and branded products. Provide analysis and commentary for any cost movements between costing versions. Responsible for costing of any tenders, potentially involving large numbers of SKUs. Maintenance of costing models, ensuring new product/material prices are updated and accurate. Supporting maintenance of cost of sales data in the Integrated Planning (IBP) tool, ensuring accuracy and explaining any movements/changes. Responsible for the continuous improvement of the costing process, working with various functions across SHS Food. Actively participate in cross-functional NPD project team meetings to stay informed about developments that could affect costings. Leverage costing and commercial expertise to challenge NPD gate and stage meetings. Continuously improving relationships between Finance and key departments and stakeholders. Review products after launch vs original costing, highlighting any factors impacting the margin. Attend sites across the UK as necessary, for factory visits and meetings with key stakeholders.

Experience/Qualifications

Experienced in understanding product costing. Experienced in detailed Financial Analysis, process and control environment. Previous experience in an FMCG/Manufacturing environment. Advanced Excel ability and experience working with ERP systems. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multi-task.
