Cost Accountant
seeking to grow in a global manufacturing environment.
Reporting to the
Senior Finance Business Partner
, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely management information, supporting the month-end close, and providing cost and performance analysis to key stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts to gross profit.
Support forecasting, budgeting, and ad hoc financial analysis for the Dumfries plant.
Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver financial insights and improve performance.
Contribute to weekly/monthly performance reporting and variance analysis.
Support standard costing processes, stock reporting, and CAPEX tracking.
Ensure strong financial controls, SOX compliance, and audit readiness.
Continuously improve and streamline finance processes.
For experienced hires: deputise for the Senior Finance Business Partner as required.
ABOUT YOU
Required Experience:
Degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Working towards CIMA or ACCA qualification.
Strong analytical and numerical skills with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
Willingness to learn financial controls, internal processes, and relevant legislation
Clear and confident communicator with good interpersonal skills across all levels
Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
Proficient in Excel with a desire to develop skills in ERP/manufacturing systems (SAP/HFM exposure beneficial)
