Valmiera Glass UK Ltd are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant (Manufacturing) to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring accurate cost data management and provide actionable insights by maintaining SAP CO master data, analysing cost flows and supporting internal reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Support manufacturing-specific processes: product cost planning, standard cost estimates, WIP calculations Monitor and manage production orders and volumes for accuracy Calculate and maintain product standard costs for financial accuracy Perform cost accounting: activity allocation, overhead calculation, variance settlement, periodic reporting Calculate and update work activity rates for cost allocation Analyse production costs, identify variances, and provide clear reports Control proper classification of capital expenditures (CAPEX) and operational expenses (OPEX) in production-related transactions Perform Bills of Materials (BOM) & Routing Control. Validate and monitor BOM and routings for correct cost calculations Assist in SAP month-end and year-end close processes Build reports and dashboards for controllers and plant managers Extract and validate cost data from SAP modules for analysis Analyse cost trends, profitability, track actual versus budget and forecast, highlight deviations and support management reporting Monitor inventory, and ensure accurate consumption and inventory reporting Provide operational support: answer queries from production and finance teams about cost postings Prepare ad-hoc and regular reports upon management requests, ensuring clarity and accuracy Prepare and maintain detailed production budgets aligned with operational plans Collaborate with production, finance, and IT teams to maintain transparency and accuracy Ensure adherence to internal guidelines and guidelines of the Group and support continuous improvement initiative

Requirements:

A degree in finance or accounting or a relevant professional qualification (CIMA, ACCA, AAT) Minimum of 2 years' experience in manufacturing cost accounting, product costing, production order tracking Proficiency in MS Excel Proficiency in SAP CO is desirable, however full training will be provided Proficiency in financial analysis, variance analysis
