This role presents an exciting opportunity to join Aldermore's Cost & Investment Team - an integral part of the Group's Finance function and one which offers fantastic learning and growth potential.


Reporting to the Head of Cost Analytics & Reporting, the role has Groupwide scope and requires a mix of cost analytics, production and presentation of impactful MI, and business partnering, to support decision making and ensuring Aldermore achieves its strategic objectives.


This role will suit an individual who thrives in a challenging and changing environment and is passionate about supporting the business make great commercial decisions.


The role will be based in either of our Reading or London offices however, you will be able to work a blend of both home and office each week.

What will your day look like?



Building effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders Producing cost and headcount analytics and MI to help explain and understand variances against plans Help drive future cost efficiency through a detailed understanding of business and cost drivers and collaboration / healthy challenge with the business Work closely with business contacts to produce detailed cost and headcount forecasts by translating their strategy into financial plans Partner with business contacts to optimise operations and drive financial performance Clearly presenting 'the story' to a range of stakeholders and contribute to ExCo and Board packs Drive continuous process improvement, supporting the delivery of more timely, impactful financial analysis

What do we expect from you?



Several years' experience in a Cost Analytics / Reporting / Business Partnering role Experience of developing meaningful relationships with a range of diverse stakeholders whilst providing independent review and challenge Strong communication and presentation skills with proven experience of being able to produce and present complex financial information concisely Excellent financial modelling and analytical skills (MS Excel) A strong team player, self-motivated, proactive and able to use own initiative to formulate own ideas and opinions Experience in a fast-paced and agile environment with the ability to identify efficiencies and implement new processes as the business evolves
