Costing & Pricing Assistant - Construction & Refurbishment Projects
Location: Northampton
Salary: 30,000 DOE
Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
Are you highly organised with a head for numbers and an eye for detail? We're recruiting for a Costing and Pricing Assistant to support a growing Midlands-based construction company. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong Excel and data analysis skills who enjoys working behind the scenes to ensure pricing accuracy for tender submissions.
You'll be working closely with the Estimating and Operations teams, supporting the preparation of competitive project tenders by sourcing and compiling pricing data from suppliers, subcontractors, and internal databases.
The Role:
In this data-focused support role, you'll play a key part in preparing accurate costings for refurbishment and construction projects across the UK, including sites near Towcester and Leeds.
Key Responsibilities:

• Gather and input supplier and subcontractor pricing into spreadsheets for use in tender submissions
• Maintain and update costing databases and pricing logs
• Liaise with suppliers to obtain up-to-date quotes and pricing information
• Support the preparation of budgets and cost breakdowns for project tenders
• Work closely with the Estimator and Operations Director to ensure all cost data is accurate and complete
• Assist in the compilation of tender documentation and submission packs

What We're Looking For:

• Experience working in a costing, pricing, or data-focused role (construction industry experience a bonus)
• Strong Excel skills, with the ability to manage and analyse large sets of data
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
• Comfortable communicating with suppliers and internal teams
• Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Full UK driving licence preferred but not essential
