Location: Hybrid working - 20% office based 80% home working.


Working as part of the Revenues collection service assessing and collecting council tax, the officer will be responsible for delivering effective, proactive, customer focused collection services.
Responsibilities will include working effectively as part of a team, processing customer accounts including but not limited to: initial account set up, maintenance and review, assessment of discounts, disregards and exemptions, payment arrangements, pre and post court work and bailiff enquiries.
Working in line with statutory legislation and corporate policies, the post holder will need to be responsive to customer's needs, ensuring effective engagement with vulnerable / challenging customers while maximising collection.

Requirements



You will be an enthusiastic, committed team player, understanding best practice and customer contact procedures with experience in debt collection. You will be able to demonstrate a good standard of numeracy and literacy, be able to work using your own initiative, prioritise conflicting deadlines, managing your time efficiently with good communication skills.

We are looking for someone with recent relevant Council Tax experience as an essential requirement Good working knowledge of Civica Open Revenues system
