What
you'll be doing (in a nutshell):
In this role, you'll deliver counselling and wellbeing services as part of our contract with Doncaster Royal Infirmary. Working to a short-term, solution-focused model, you'll provide vital support to NHS employees - from therapy sessions to trauma response - helping them navigate challenges at work and at home.
Day to day you can expect to:
Provide counselling sessions both onsite at Doncaster Royal Infirmary and virtually
Carry out telephone assessments and onward referrals
Deliver trauma support, psychoeducation, and manage high-risk calls
Offer advice and signposting to staff and managers where needed
Collaborate with colleagues across our Employee Assistance Programme
To be successful
you'll have:
A minimum Level 4 Diploma in Counselling (CBT qualification a bonus)
Registered/Accredited membership with BACP or NCPS
Minimum 400+ clinical hours and 2 years post-qualification
Experience delivering both face-to-face and telephone counselling
Knowledge of trauma-informed practice
Strong IT skills and a professional approach to record-keeping
The ability to balance autonomy with being a supportive team player
Bonus points if you bring:
Previous EAP or NHS counselling experience
Confidence working flexibly within a 24/7 service
A proactive, problem-solving mindset
