The Role



Due to ongoing the ongoing expansion of our NHS Talking Therapies services, we are looking for an experienced counsellor to join us as a Trainee Counselling for Depression (CfD) Therapist. This is a full-time training position leading to a permanent, full-time role on successful completion of the CfD qualification.

As a Trainee CfD Therapist, you'll:

Complete a 5-day intensive training course at York St John University Submit recorded therapy sessions for assessment Deliver high-intensity counselling for depression (Step 3) Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of therapists and clinicians Be required to work at least one day per week in-person at our Hull office

What We're Looking For



To be eligible to apply, you must:

Hold a professional qualification in a person-centred or humanistic therapy at Level 4 or above Be a BACP Registered Member or NCPS Accredited Registrant and be in a position to apply for BACP Accreditation or NCPS Professional Accredited Registrant within one year of completing the training Have at least two years post-qualification experience in providing brief interventions to clients with common mental health problems, primarily depression
