The role:

This role is for Face-to-face counselling, On-site at our rooms in Poundbury (possibly Wimborne) in Dorset. Please only apply if you are able to physically work at either or both of these locations.

Summary

We are looking for a quality counsellor, specifically with CYP experience and Qualifications, to join our

team

at Wellbeing Practice. In this role, you will provide therapeutic support to clients, helping them navigate their mental health challenges and improve their overall wellbeing. This position is essential in fulfilling our mission of promoting mental wellness in the community.

Responsibilities

Conduct therapy sessions with clients to address their mental health needs. Engage Therapeutically with Children, Young People and Adults. When working with CYP, able to engage appropriately and productively with Parents. Utilise effective communication skills to build rapport and trust with clients. Monitor client progress and adjust therapeutic engagement as necessary. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as necessary, appropriately representing the business. Maintain accurate records of client sessions and outcomes.

Requirements

Relevant qualifications in counselling (e.g., level 4 diploma+ , degree, certification). Relevant qualification working with CYP

aged 7+

. Strong experience in developing intervention theory and practice for diverse client needs. Experience of engagement embracing ADHD, ASD and more. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficient in using IT systems for record-keeping and documentation. Empathy and a genuine desire to help others improve their mental health. Be active as part of our growing team.

Qualification:

Must have:

Level 4 or above in Counselling skills (Diploma) as recognised by the BACP or equivalent.

Must Have:

Suitable Counselling based qualification and experience working with:

MUST: Young People and Children 7 years +.

DESIRABLE: Neurodiversity, ADHD, ASD

Must have

: Current and valid enhanced EDBS.

Must have

: Membership of the BACP or similar.
