We are looking for a full time Medicines Counter Assistant to join our team (or 2 part time staff). We are a busy pharmacy in Alcester, located at the primary care centre. We have two GP surgeries, and the Health and Social Care Team located onsite who we work very closely alongside. In the pharmacy, we are a really friendly team who love to welcome new members and love what we do!
Training will be provided to the successful candidtate if they are not already qualified. You will be involved in the sale of over the counter medicines, and trained to provide advice on common ailments. You will also help promote the health of the local community, as well as providing health checks and clinical services for our patients. There will also be administrative tasks in handling prescrptions, medicines and cash. We require flexibility in working hours as we are a small team.
You need to have good communication skills as well as good people skills. Previous retail/healthcare experience would be helpful, though not essential at all. This job would suit a school leaver with ambition for an exciting career in healthcare. There is a lot of scope for developing your role and fantastic career growth prospects. We would love to help you develop, and would provide training all the way.
